"finding out what is acceptable to the Lord... See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise, redeeming the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be unwise but understand what the will of the Lord is." Eph (5:10 - 17)
This really sums up our new life in the Lord. We were once darkness, but we now need to walk as children of light. The whole idea of walking and finding out tells us that it is a journey of seeking & obeying Him, not being at a stationary point. We can be in the light, in the will of God for a short moment of our walk, but because of stagnancy, gradually move back into darkness.
Therefore, we need to examine ourselves constantly, all the more as we see the day approaching when wickedness will increase, sweeping us off our feet if we are not firmly established in His perfect will.
